JOB TITLE: Electrical & Controls Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION: Electrical & Controls Technician

Shift: 1st Shirt, typically 7 AM - 3 PM, hours will vary as dictated by production, vacation or other scheduling conflicts.
Workweek: Monday thru Friday. Mandatory overtime and weekend work required as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
? Vocational/Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, Automated Manufacturing, or related field required.
? Minimum of 1 year electrical experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and installing electrical systems and equipment.
? Experience working from: schematics, P&IDs, and other specifications.
? Experience with: AutoCAD, motors, transformers, machine controls, PLC s, instrumentation, frequency drive systems and electrical systems up to 600 volts.
? Strong mechanical aptitude including knowledge and troubleshooting with electrical, pneumatics and hydraulics.
? Working knowledge of NEC code and familiarity with UL requirements.
? Must have good customer service skills.
? Must possess good communication, problem solving and organizational skills.
? Must have good computer and written communication skills.
? Must be a self-starter who can work independently and a team player to support department in attaining goals.
? Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
RESPONSIBILITIES
? Interpret blueprints and electrical schematic drawings.
? Assemble electrical panels in a UL 508A shop.
? Assemble, troubleshoot, repair and install electrical equipment and systems.
? Interpret blueprints and electrical schematic drawings and assist with AutoCAD Electrical drafting.
? Provide on-site support and trouble shooting at client sites.
? Work simultaneously on multiple project and client teams.
? Continually evaluate processes and methods, recommend measures to improve methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.
? Perform assigned tasks in a safe, efficient and effective manner.
? Perform a wide variety of tasks relying upon experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and objectives.
? Adhere to all Company policies, procedures, and work rules.
? Maintain good performance, behavior, communication, attitude, morale and attendance.
